Willis Herman Crew

Willis Herman Crew, 80, of Beckley passed away Monday, December 27, 2021.
Born October 31, 1941, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Herman and Nora McGrew Crew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant brother, Jess Crew, brother, Clyde Crew; sister, Norma Crew Waltman and Evelyn Crew.

Willis was a heavy equipment operator having lasted worked for Cannelton mining. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and working on tractors. He loved the outdoors.

Willis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria Maynor Crew; daughter Sherri Crew Hockenjos and her husband Greg of Ft. Knox, KY; sons, Jess and Clyde Crew of Beckley; brother, Jimmie Crew of Beaver; sisters, Patricia Crew of Lubbock, TX and Brenda Crew of Mechanicsville, VA; grandson, Dylan Hockenjos of Ft. Knox, KY; special grandson, Brian “Junior” Grabens of Fairfax, VA along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roger Smith, Jr. officiating. The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by Calfee Funeral Home.
