Wayne Cochran

Wayne Cochran, 83, of Alderson, WV, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV. Born October 6, 1926 in Lester, WV, he was the son of the late John and Myrtle Acord Cochran. Wayne was a steel worker, retiring from LTV in Warren, OH. He was a WW II Army veteran and had been a resident of Alderson for the past 25 years. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, John Craig Cochran, brothers; Cecil, Kyle and Bobby and sisters; Edith, Ennis and Laura.
Survivors include his wife, Millie Milam Cochran, daughter, Brenda Carraher and husband Dennis of Johnson, OH, grandsons; Dennis Wayne and John Aubrey Carraher, sisters; Violet McKinney of warren, OH, Edna Fox of Johnson, OH, Lakie Berry of Fredericksburg, VA, brother, Carlos Cochran and wife Carol of Scarbro, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Snuffer officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery at Lester. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
