Wanda Lee Gunter

Wanda Lee Gunter, 80, of Beckley, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021. Born June 5, 1941, in Terry, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Anna McCormick McMillion.

Wanda was a former house monitor for the Women’s Resource Center and cook at Phil’s Drive Inn. She was a member of the Terry Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandsons, Elmer Meador, Jr. and Angelo Prunesti.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Billy Gene Gunter, Sr; children, Lottie Hill Meador (Elmer), Lisa Prunesti (Perry), Edward Hill, Roger Hill (Hank), Wesley Clifton Martin (Rhonda), Billy Gene Gunter, Jr (Teresa), Patrick Lloyd Gunter (Lisa), Darene Michelle Phipps; sisters, Joyce Carter of Stanaford, WV, Shirley Dykes of TX, Carol Woods of Dunbar, WV and 6 grandchildren.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
