Wanda Alice Catherine Lickliter

Wanda Alice Catherine Lickliter, 88, of Beckley, passed away Friday, may 21, 2010 at her residence. Born November 13, 1921 in Vale, WV, she was the daughter of the late Emory Lee and Irene Frantz Patterson. Wanda was a registered nurse retiring from Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Methodist Women, Raleigh General Nurses Alumni and the Shepherd’s Center. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Lickliter, Sr., brothers; Emory Patterson, Jr., Dana Patterson, Thomas Patterson, sister, Modena Patterson.

Survivors include sons; David A. Lickliter, Jr. of Beckley, Randolph Lickliter and wife Vicki of Beckley, step-daughter, Joyce Broyles of Beckley, sister, Frances Jones of Beckley, grandchildren; David Lickliter, III, Kristen Hall, Jacqueline Lickliter, Randi Beth Lickliter, Mary Katherine Lickliter, great-grandchildren; Brooke and Shelby Lickliter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Bob Stoddard and Dr. Gregory Hayes officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Calfee Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Oscar Vecellio, Dave Rumberg, Tom Beckette, Gus Farris, Steve Cales, David Lickliter, III.
