Violet R. “Shrewsbury” Everage, 75, of LaGrange, IN passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Born April 23, 1940 at Piney View, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jackson C. and Verna Stewart Shrewsbury.
Violet was a former employee for Nishikawa Standard in Topeka, IN. She was a member of the Ontario Congregational Church in Howe, IN.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim Hicks and her husband Anthony of Howe, IN; grandchildren, Michelle Gyovai, Karl Gyovai and wife Tina and Kane Gyovai and wife Holly of Beckley, Joseph Hicks and wife Jessica and Mark Hicks and wife Mindy of Howe, IN; brothers, Ray Wise and his wife Carol of Largo, FL, Jack Shrewsbury and his wife Dorothy of Independence, VA, Rick Shrewsbury and his wife Darlene of Grandview, WV; sisters, Hattie Cavaliero of Vineland, NJ and Juanita Williams of Forest Hill, WV.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Anthony Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Joseph and Mark Hicks, Karl and Kane Gyovai, Larry Williams and David Cox.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
