Vernon Dale Stover

Vernon Dale Stover, 84, formerly of Glen Daniel and The Villages of Greystone, died Thursday, January 19, 2017at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.
Born August 2, 1932 in Stickney, WV, he was the son of the late James and Gertrude Scarbro Stover.
Mr. Stover was a graduate of Marsh Fork High School. He served in the Air Force and worked for Peabody Coal. He was a member of Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church.
Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Worley Stover in 2006.
Surviving is his sister, Melba Merrill of Fredericksburg, VA.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Carl Sellards officiating. Vernon will be laid to rest beside his wife, Nancy, in Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
