Twyla Grace Harouff

Twyla Grace Harouff, 94, of Beckley, passed away on February 18, 2011 at McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gary, WV. Born October 29, 1916, in Sunburst, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Huffman and Ethel Edmonia Harouff. During her life, Twyla was Secretary to Charles Neff, Board of Directors, WVU for 12 years, the Secretary at the Moose Lodge for 19 years, and also worked at Tri-County Burial Association for several years.
Twyla was full of life. She had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger, and accepted Christ as her Savior around eight years ago.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Harouff, three brothers, Myles Taylor Harouff, Mead Harper Harouff, Darrell Lawson Harouff (Skip), and fianc, Bob Wildi.
She is survived by longtime friends Selma Andrews, Lovella Royal, and Reba Lockard, her care-provider and confidante.
Following Twyla’s wishes, she will be cremated with a gathering of friends at a later date to celebrate her life.
