Thomas Martin Thompson, (Tommy) 68, of Deck Lane, Beckley, WV passed away peacefully at Bowers Hospice of Beckley, WV on November 10, 2023, with his wife and oldest daughter, Missy, by his side. Born August 1, 1955, he was the son of the late James Arthur Thompson Sr. and Helen Kirtley Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Pat and Garnet Coffman and his brother-in-law Ronald Miller.
Tommy was a former carpenter at Priddy’s, Inc. and retired from TMT Construction. He was an active member of the Oak Grove Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and elder.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, neighbors, and best friend. He loved watching WVU basketball and football games with his grandson Dylan and enjoyed going to church and spending time fellowshipping with his church family.
Tommy was a selfless man. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was
patient, humble and soft spoken but most importantly, a godly man. He set a wonderful example of what being Christ-like really meant. He was a true fighter and his faith never wavered.
