Thomas Lee Spangler, 60 of Beckley, formerly of Palm Bay, FL, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the Beckley VA Medical Center.
Born December 7, 1955 in Beckley, he was the son of the late Basil Ray and Anna Virginia Epperly Spangler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Etta Ann Spangler and a brother, Jack Dale Spangler.
Mr. Spangler was a former painter and had owned and operated Timeless Goods and Things in Daniels for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former member of Beckley Moose Lodge # 1606. He attended Beckley College and had previously worked at the Beckley VA Medical Center. He enjoyed flea markets and antiques.
He is survived by his daughter Anna Wade and her husband Jason Pittman of Tams; 3 brothers, Basil Albert Spangler of Sophia, Ross Spangler and his wife Robin of Prosperity and Jeff Spangler of Madison, IN; 2 sisters, Deborah Lusk and her husband Daniel of Palm Bay, FL and Juanita Powell of Kent, IN; 4 grandchildren, William Wade, Casey Wade, Elizabeth Williams and Brentin Williams.
Funeral services will be 3pm, Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Dennis Epperly and Jimmy Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
