Theris A. Ball

Theris A. Ball, 91, of Daniels, passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 in an Oak Hill health care center. Born September 23, 1917 at Shady Spring, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Maude Reed Bryant. Theris was a homemaker and a member of Perry United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Ball and a daughter, Linda Ball Shirbish. She is survived by her son, Douglas Ball and his wife Wanda of Daniels, WV, grandchildren; Kelli Mays of Beckley, Cyndi Gerau of Daniels, Whitney Ball of Hurricane, WV, Beth Ball of Barboursville, WV, step grandchildren; Erica Cole and Matt Blankenship of Daniels, WV, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters; Hallie Farley of Athens, WV, Brylis Jessup of Texas City, TX and Niddy O’Rear and her husband Bob of Rockport, TX.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13, 2009 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eric Milam officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
