Sidney Allen Clarke

Sidney Allen Clarke, 49, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011. Born September 9, 1961 in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late Sidney Allen Clarke, Sr. and Hattie Marie Griffith Clarke of Beckley. Sidney was a master carpenter for Alliance Construction Management. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a lifelong resident of Raleigh County.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Mary Redden Clarke, sons, Allen Clarke of Sophia and Matthew Clarke of Beckley, daughter, Crystal Dawn Clarke of Beckley, grandchildren, Jason Clark of NC, Zach and Hannah Clarke of Sophia, Christopher Young of Beckley; brothers, Eddie Clarke and wife Joyce, William Cunningham, Timmy Perdue all of Beckley, Danny Perdue of OH, Kenneth and Mark Cunningham of NC, Chris Clarke of Morgantown, WV, sisters, Jennifer Clarke of Beckley and Victoria Cuevas of KY.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Cross Point Church of God, 110 Crescent Rd. with Pastor Vondie L. Cook, II officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Saturday.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Cross Point Church of God Building Fund, 110 Crescent Rd., Beckley, WV 25801.
