Shirley May Evans

Shirley May Evans, 83, of Maple Fork, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Born February 4, 1939, at South Sand Branch, she was the daughter of the late William Tracy and Mable James Evans.

Shirley was a member of Little Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed search word puzzles, listening to music, embroidering, and walking, but most of all she loved her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Allen; sisters, Shelby Riddick and Hedy Williams.

Shirley is survived by her children, Kim Evans of Prosperity, WV, Karen Meade (Jerry) of Prosperity, WV, Greg Sowder (Sharon) of Princewick, WV, Ricky Davis of Maple Fork, WV, Gary Davis (Joy) of Kincaid, WV; son-in-law, Brady Allen of Prosperity, WV, sister, Tracene Catlett of Maple Fork, WV; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 with Pastor Harry Miller officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
