Shelva Jean Cox

Shelva Jean Cox, 77, of Crab Orchard passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018.
Born January 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Erma Smith Persinger.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; brothers, Harold, Darrell and Bill Persinger; sisters, Betty Persinger and Rita Brock.
Shelva was a homemaker. She loved to cook and listen to gospel music.
She is survived by sons, Gregory Alan Cox, Sr. of Eccles, Jeffrey Duane Cox of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Gregory Alan, Jr., Tiffany, Sonya and Alex; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; sister, Carolyn Thompson of Crab Orchard and brother Delmas Persinger of Glen View.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2018 at Calfee Funeral Home with Dennis Persinger officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
