Samuel Poff Vest

Sam was born February 1, 1945 in Beckley, the son of the late Archie Allen and Mary Vest Gill. He was a former superintendent for the Lillian James Center. Sam was well liked by many. He was always quick with a humorous response. He was a personal caretaker for immediate family members for a span of 25 years. Sam loved camping with his children and two older grandchildren, although the younger grandson had special times with him. He did get to see and kiss his newest granddaughter, Korri, born February 27, 2008, just days before he passed.
