Ruby Lee Furrow

Ruby Lee Furrow, 88, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010 in a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born July 26, 1921 at Blue Jay, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Minnie Lemon Lilly. Ruby was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Raleigh County. She was a member of the Pemberton Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse James Furrow, son, Gary W. Furrow, brothers; Carl P., Oris E., J. Rufus, Walter J. and Wiley A. Lilly, sisters; Pearl M. Cole, Wavie J. Browning and Grace B. Terry.
Survivors include daughters; Joan and Lewis Redden, Joy Belle and Frank bailey, sons; Jimmy and Margie Furrow, Roger and Patty Furrow, daughter-in-law, Jeanie Furrow, sister, Lillian Virginia Gillian, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Jim Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
