Ronald A. Hatfield, 71, of Midway, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2001 in a Beckley hospital. Arrangements are pending at Calfee Funeral Home, Beckley. Born May 5, 1940 in Phelps, KY, he was the son of the late James and Cora Farley Hatfield. Ronald was a coal miner retiring from Peabody Coal. He was a member of Truth Assembly Ministries and was a U.S. Marine veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Amburgey; sisters, Betty Milam, Hattie Snap; and a brother, Jerry Michael Hatfield.
Survivors include his wife, Nollie Sparks Hatfield; daughters, Teresa Adkins and husband Don of Saulsville, WV, Toni Gibson and husband Donald of Lynco, WV, Marsha Walters of Midway, WV; son, Ronald R. Hatfield and wife Kay of London, KY; brothers, Hibby Hatfield and wife Darlene of Stanaford, Dennis Hatfield and wife Kim of Lanark, WV; sisters, Lois Roach of Unionville, VA, Cora Sue Monk and husband Mike of Indianapolis, IN, Linda Keaton and husband Wayne of Beckley, Brenda Lively and husband Roger of Surveyor, WV, Debby Morgan and husband Chuck of Mabscott, WV; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Monk and Pastor Hibby Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Donald Levi Gibson, Michael Gibson, Gabriel Gibson, Lawrence Cook, Daniel Keaton and Ronald Hatfield
