On Monday, June 14, 2021 Rodolfo “Rudy” Ezra Cerda, 27, of Beckley, WV suddenly entered his eternal home.
Rudy was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend to many. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2012 and was employed by a variety of jobs thereafter, including RC Construction where he worked alongside his father, Rudy Cerda Sr., and was one of the hardest working men we knew. He was always using his many God-given talents to help others, he was a genuine and humble man, and he was always striving to better his mind, body, and soul. One of his many passions was working out, which enabled him to win the annual Toughman Competition here in Beckley in 2018.
Rudy was a Christian man who loved God and his family. He loved the outdoors and spent the majority of his time with his pitbull Ganzi by his side and his music always playing in the background. He always wanted to be surrounded by his many friends enjoying life together. The most important thing in Rudy’s life was time spent with his beautiful daughter Analia.
He is survived by his parents, Rodolfo H. Cerda and Raquel Villa de Cerda; daughter, Analia Ava Cerda; wife, Selena Martinez Delatorre; sisters, Rebecca (Alex) Martinez, Savannah (Cody) Cerda, & Tabatha Cerda; nephews, Isaiah, Israel, Aaron, & Adam.
A burial service will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday June 19, 2021 at Calfee Cemetery, and a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. the same day at Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley.
Friends and family will be received from 2 p.m.- 3 p.m. for visitation.
