Reta Sue Bowling Tennant of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Lester, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Born June 28, 1941 in Lester, she was the daughter of the late Buster G. and Kathryn Gillespie Bowling. Reta was a retired school teacher for Wood County schools. She was a member of the First Church of God. A sister, Phyllis Adkins preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Marion Tennant of Parkersburg; 4 grandchildren; sisters; Julie Worrells of Beckley, Jo Ann Grogan of Hampton, VA, Kathryn Fraley of Lester; brothers, Larry “Buck” Bowling and Mark Bowling both of Lester.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Lester First Church of God with Rev. Earl Snuffer officiating. The family invites friends to gather with the family following the service.
