Richard Norman Anderson, Sr.

Richard Norman Anderson,Sr.,77, of Clarksville, VA, formerly of Midway, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. Born October 15, 1939 in Matoka, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Virginia Lester Anderson.
Richard was a retired supervisor for Consol Energy with 28 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne. He attended the Church of God. Richard loved to hunt but his real passion was fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lana Worley Anderson, daughter, Clara Anderson; brothers, Donnie and Jimmy Anderson.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon Meadows Anderson; sister, Gail Farr of Crab Orchard, WV; brother, Ernest Anderson and wife Thelma of Glen White, WV; children, Rick Anderson and wife Jackie of Princeton, WV, Denise Jones of Fayetteville, NC, James Anderson of Bonaire, GA; step-children, Carla Blankenship and husband Gary of Clarksville, VA, Lew Hutchison and Mark Hutchison of NC; grandchildren, Scott Lewis and wife Ashley, Opie Jones, Amanda Lavioe and husband Brian, Tim Lewis, Haiden Rote and Nikita Anderson, Charlie, Tom and Tim Leech, Cheyenne Mills, Aspen Anderson, Travis Anderson, Kayleigh Shelton and Alexis Anderson, Justin and wife Devin, Khali and Lacey Blankenship, Loren Hutchison, Tristen Scott; great-grandchildren, Aiden Blankenship, Kendrick Price, Emily Lewis, James Barnett, Jayden Smith, James Alexander, Roman Anderson, Rylan Anderson, Bryson McKinney, Kingston Lewis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017 in the Calfee Funeral Chapel with pastor Everett Fraley and Pastor John Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service.
Pallbearers will be Tim and Scott Lewis, Justin and Gary Blankenship, David Farr and Matthew Rabaca.
