Richard Lee Lovell

Richard Lee Lovell, 72 of Maple Fork, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Born December 3, 1950 in Beckley, Richard was the son of the late Fred Lovell, Sr. and Susie Lovell. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Lovell, Sr., father-in-law, Vernon Barley and sister-in-law, Karen Metrick.

Richard loved the Lord and was a member of Sprague Freewill Baptist Church. He was affectionately called Big Paw by his family and loved fishing and the outdoors. He will be missed by many.

Richard is survived by his wife, Katherine “Kathy” Sue Lovell; daughters, Amy O’Neal and her husband Clyde, Carrie Cipriano and Jennifer Cipriano; grandchildren, Cody Maynor and his wife Casey, Kayla Allen and her husband Jimmy and Colton Maynor, Dimitri and Delia Marcus; great grandchildren, Huxley and Katelyn Maynor; brother, Fred A. Lovell, Jr. and his wife Karen; sister, Cathy Chambers and her husband Charles; sisters-in-law, Marlene Lovell, Libby Dotson and her husband Johnny and Patricia Barley; mother-in-law, Dixie Barley; brother-in-law, Rick Metrick along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Sprague Freewill Baptist Church gymnasium. Friends may visit the family from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday before the service.

Pallbearers will be Cody Maynor, Colton Maynor, Jimmy Allen, Freddie Lovell, Jeremy Bays and Sherman Lovell and honorary pallbearer, Darrell Lovell, Jr.
