Richard Lee "Pete" Graham

Richard Lee “Pete” Graham went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2024, after a short illness. With his beloved wife Ann by his side, he departed for his eternal walk with God.

 Pete was born in MacArthur, WV on September 11, 1936, to Ernest Taylor Graham and Grace Bell Jones Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents and three older siblings, Ruth Graham Jones, Robert Graham, and Helen Graham Brattin. 

 After serving four years in the Air Force, Pete returned home and met the love of his life Anna Mae Webb. They married in 1959 and spent 65 years together building a Christian lifefocused on God and their family. As a young man, Pete began his professional career as a lineman and service technician with AEP where he continued to work for over 35 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, bowling, and golfing. Pete also loved his church family at Crab Orchard Baptist, where he devoted himself to serving for more than 50 years as a deacon, a greeter, and a teacher. 

 Pete is survived by his loving wife Ann and their three sons, Michael and his wife Brenda, Barry and his wife Janet, and Jeffrey and his wife Renee. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Abel, Russell, Avee, India, Elizabeth, Rebekah, and Will, and five great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Peter, James, Madison, and Makenzie.

 Funeral services will be held at Crab Orchard Baptist Church on Thursday, December 5 at 1:00. Friends may visit from 11:00 to 1:00. A brief committal service will follow. Pete had a heart for helping others, dedicating his time to visiting shut-ins, assisting those less fortunate, and volunteering for several years at Beckley Health Right Free Clinic. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Beckley Health Right.
