Reva Mae Smith, 73, of Beckley passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 following a long illness.
Born November 1, 1937 in Peterstown, WV, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Mary Helen Miller Dunn.
Reva was employed as a sales associate at Leggetts for many years. She was an avid West Virginia University sports fan, enjoyed watching Nascar and playing bingo with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Ashella and husband Hayden, sister-in-laws, Catherine Scott and husband Robert, Beatrice Scott and husband Robert; brother-in-laws Alex Smith and wife Virginia and William F. Smith and wife Eva and Franklin Carter and a son-in-law, Jeff Lee.
Her surviving family include her husband of 50 years, Robert (Bobby) Smith who was also her caregiver, daughter Karen Lee of Glen Daniel and her fianc Dennis StClair; sister, Avis Gumarin of Orange City, FL; brother, Wilbur Dunn and wife Nancy of Little River, SC; sister-in-laws, Mary Smith and husband Fred of Jappa, MD, Marian Smith, Peggy Carter and Janet Smith all of Stanaford; many nieces and nephews and very special friends Glenna Lee and Darlene Blankenship to whom the family would like to extend a very special thank you.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Friday, July 22 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Phillip Lilly and George Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on the family Thursday from 6 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Stuart Scott, Mark Scott, Dougal Smith, Robbie Scott, Steve Blackburn and Stevie Blackburn.
