Reva Jean Bailey

Reva Jean Bailey, 91, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was a dearly treasured mother and grandmother, but most importantly, a faithful woman of God.

Reva was born on November 27, 1932 to the late Earl and Clotine Farley. She was married for 59 joyful years to the late Delbert Lee Bailey. Their marriage was a Godly example for not only their family but to all who surrounded them.

Those left to cherish her memory include her five children; Edwin Bailey and wife Milindi, Guy Bailey and wife Marsha, Kevin Bailey, Aleisa Moye and husband Rick, and Scott Bailey. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Kelly Melton and husband Jasen, Zachary Bailey, Lily Runyon and husband Will, Benjamin Bailey, Alexander Bailey, Ricky Moye and wife Becky, Brent Moye and wife Amanda, Catherine Testerman and husband Ethan, Evan Bailey, Claire Bailey, Beckett Bailey, and Henry Bailey as well as two great grandchildren, Sydney and Presley Melton.

Reva cherished her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a humble woman but a powerful prayer warrior and spent numerous hours praying for family, loved ones and the ministries of Christ around the world. Only heaven knows the eternal impact her years of faithful prayer have had. She truly left a legacy of faith and prayer, Proverbs 31.

A graveside service to celebrate Reva’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Dr. James Boyd officiating.

Reva would not want us to sorrow at her death but rejoice at her entrance into eternal life in heaven. We look forward to seeing her again in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
