Randall C. Warden, 55, of Beckley, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. Born December 30, 1956 in Beckley, he was the son of the late George and Ora Mae Allen Warden, Sr.
Randall was pastor for 6 years at Maple Valley Baptist Church in Maple Fork and also worked for WJLS A.M. Radio. In addition to pastoring he taught at Greater Beckley Christian School where he altered the lives of many young people. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Liberty University where he was also an alumni member. Randall had a love for the outdoors, bird watching and hiking.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Carol Warden; daughter, Hannah Warden of Beckley; son Hunter Warden of Beckley; Brothers, Rev. George Warden, Sr. and his wife Pam of Lexington, VA and Benny Warden and his wife Darlene of Stanaford; brothers-in-law, Tom Hamrick and his wife Sandi of Oregon, OH and Larry Hamrick of Shady Spring; mother and father-in-law, Adam and Imogene Hamrick of Shady Spring; nieces, Leslie Carter, Shelly Paice and Erin Leiser; nephew Benny Warden, Jr.; special companion, Chloe and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12 at the Maple Valley Baptist Church with Rev. George Warden, Jr. officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Frank Williams, Bill Adkins, Larry Arbrogast, Dwight Reggi and Donald Miller and honorary pallbearer, Justin Arvon.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made in memory of Randall for Hannah and Hunter’s education.
