Pauline Kathryn Rand

Pauline Kathryn Rand, 91, of Beckley passed away Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Bowers Hospice House. Born December 3, 1918 at Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Eugene S. and Dora Ella Wilson Floyd. Pauline was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. K.K. Rand, son, Jerry Carter, grandson, Alan J. Holliday, brothers; Ernest, Clinton and Jack Floyd and by sisters; Mable Persinger, Virginia Apperti and Frances Hooker. The family would like to thank Mrs. Rand’s caregivers.
Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Holliday of Beckley, step daughters; Kyra Pease of AZ and Carolyn Boggs of CA, sister, Margie Crowder of S. Charleston, WV and brothers; Russell Floyd and wife Dean of Beckley and James Floyd of Bradley.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Phil Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until service time on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Alan Jay Holliday, II, Brad Farha, Bobby Burns, Richard Williams, Rod O’Dell, David Allport.
