Paul Darris Plumley

Paul Darris Plumley, 73, of Flat Top Lake, WV, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2024. Born in Beckley, WV, on January 29, 1951, to Glansy Todd and Eulis Plumley, Paul was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Marshall University.

Together with his wife, Lynn, Paul was the longtime owner and operator of Donut Connection (Dunkin' Donuts) on Robert C. Byrd Drive, a beloved local business they ran for many years before retiring in 2019. In retirement, Paul enjoyed playing golf and had a deep passion for spending time at the lake with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lynn Plumley (Evans); their two sons, Lee (and wife Melissa) and Paul Jr. (and wife Devon); and his adored grandchildren, Emma, Elizabeth, Logan, Brady, Paul III, and Noah. He is also survived by his mother, Glansy Williams; brother, Jerry Plumley (and wife Cindy); their children, Eddie, Eric, and Janell; sister, Janie Phipps (and husband Jerry), and their son, JJ; sister, Debbie Funkhouser (and husband Jeff), and their daughter, Kaitlyn. He is further survived by Lynn’s siblings Kay Duguid, Sam Evans, John Evans, John Patrick Thompson and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Eulis Plumley, and stepfathers Bill Wardensky and Damon Williams.

Paul's love for his family, his unwavering work ethic, and his joyful spirit will leave an indelible mark on all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Paul's life 12 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Friends are welcome to visit with the family two-hours prior to the service. Services will be live streamed at www.calfeefh.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his memory.
