Pamela Powers Gallagher

Pamela Powers Gallagher, 62, of Shady Spring, passed away Tuesday, October 05, 2010, in a local hospital. Born March 17, 1948 in Prosperity, WV, she was the daughter of the late Willie Edward and Ora Hill Powers. Pamela had a B.S. degree in accounting. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Single Action Shooting Society, and the NRA. She was a successful cake decorator, supported the ASPCA and enjoyed going to dog shows and spending time with her dogs, Savannah and Clementine. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers; Frank Bowman and Rodney Powers and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Powers.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent O’Connell Gallagher, brother, Larry Powers of Apoka, FL, sister-in-law, Judy Bowman, nieces; Jennifer & Juliana Stewart all of Ramona, CA, mother-in-law, Doris Gallagher of Ghent, brothers-in-law; Joe Gallagher of Ghent, Michael Gallagher and wife Nancy and family of Barboursville, WV, god daughter, Adell Cates of Springville, AL, sisters-in-law; Martha Baker and family of Baker, WV and Rita Gallagher and family of Scott Depot, WV and many more nieces and nephews and close personal friends.
A funeral liturgy will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2010 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Father Joshua Stevens officiating. A rite of committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Calfee Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Thursday where a rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. led by Rev. Mr. Don Wise
Pallbearers will be Phillip Baker, Ronny Prince, Rick Cates, Russ Parsons, Fred Mason and Andrew Jones.
