Osie Glenna Bolen

Osie Glenna Bolen, 82, of Coal City, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at her residence. Born March 3, 1928 in Eccles, WV, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Bessie Holt. She was a school teacher, retiring from Coal City Elementary School. She loved to travel. She was a member of the Coal City Church of God, and a lifelong resident of Raleigh County.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Bolen, 3 sisters; Garnet Nagy, Virginia Wilson and Marie Scott, 2 brothers; John and Robert Holt.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Salyers of Portage, IN, 4 sons; Basil Bolen and wife Drema of Beckley, Robert Bolen and wife Billie Jean of Suffolk, VA, Chester Bolen and wife Rita of Coal city, WV and Cletus Bolen of Coal City. 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, Delores Long and husband Tommy of Portland, OR, Ann Underwood and husband Ray of Charleston, WV
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Clarence Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
