Mr. Williams attended Beckley College and studied civil engineering and was a machinist having retired from General Motors in 1978. He moved to Pocahontas County to pursue his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Mr. Williams went to Newfoundland for the past 15 years to hunt elk. He was a WW II Army veteran having served from 1941 to 1943 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Cass. He was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Williams, two grandchildren, Edna Faye 'Kit' Gibson and Kenneth Ryan Williams, by a brother William Wayne Williams and by a sister Alma Williams.
