Norman Stanley Buck Milam

Norman Stanley “Buck” Milam, 70, of Beckley, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House. Born March 21, 1943 at Arnett, WV, he was the son of the late Earl and Ella Mae Alderman Milam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Marie Milam.
Buck was a retired Preparation Plant Foreman for Peabody Coal. He was a member of Cross Point Church of God. He loved golf, fishing and Nascar.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; daughter, Beverly Lacek and husband Matt of Beckley; grandchildren, Kelsey, Jacob and Joey Lacek of Beckley; brothers, John Milam and wife Lila of Panama City, FL, Robert Milam and wife Pam of Petus, WV, Joe Milam and wife Suki of San Antonio, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel, 800 S. Oakwood Ave., Beckley with Pastor Vondie L. Cook, II officiating. Burial will follow in Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Lacek, Lee Milam, Joey and Jacob Lacek, Jacob and Kaleb Milam.
