Noel G. Brown, Sr.

Noel G. Brown, Sr., 75, of Glen Daniel, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. Born August 3, 1942 in Arnett, WV he was the son of the late Wannie H. and Lottie Clay Brown. Besides his parents Noel was preceded in death by his sister, Ethel Leopardi and brothers, Robert Edgar Brown and Alfred Brown, Sr.

Mr. Brown worked as Chief Electrician and mechanic in the coal mines. He was also a skilled carpenter and jack of all trades having built the house he and Brenda live in. He was also a talented musician who enjoyed playing his guitar and writing music. In his free time he loved to hunt and fish.

Noel is survived by his wife Brenda Brown of 54 and a half years; son, Noel Brown, Jr. and his wife Drema of Crab Orchard; daughters, Susan Kay Daniel and her husband Barry, Sr. of Glen Daniel and Sandra Jane Hatley and her husband Kevin of Ripley, WV; grandchildren, Barry (BJ) Daniel, Jr., Brandon Noel Daniel and his wife Amelia, Heather Dickens and her husband David, Hannah Carpenter and her husband Zachary, Noelle Brown, Misty Hall, Cassandra Haga and Chelsea Pollard; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Nora Dickens and Mckenzie, Audrey, Isaiah and Vincent Carpenter; brother, Charles E. Brown and sisters, Romana Covey, Juanita Goldsberry and Thelma Whitlock.

Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Bruce Brown and Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Noel Brown, Jr., Kevin Hatley, Barry (BJ) Daniel, Jr., Brandon Noel Daniel, Zachary Carpenter and David Dickens.
