Nellie Rae Ford

Nellie Rae Ford, 75, of Beckley, WV passed away on August 16, 2018. Nellie was born in Rainelle, WV September 17, 1942. She was married to James on August 05, 1961; they were married 57 years. She was a Homemaker and a child of God who devoted faithful loving service to her family and friends. She was considered a pillar to her church family. During her time here she always placed others first, and shared her love of God through kindness and compassion for others. Often spending hours praying for those going through troubled times. She payed attention to the little things that made the people in her life happier, and gave all her efforts to place a smile on their face. Her sweet and pure angelic voice now has joined heavens choir.
She was proceeded in death by her parents John and Lena Crookshank, her daughter Tina Ford. Also proceeding her were her brothers Cecil, Raymond, Robert, and Roy Crookshank and sisters Helen Sheaves and Mable Dalton. Surviving family left to cherish her memory are her husband James Ford Sr, Sisters Mary Marciano, Sonny and Susan Brammer, Viola Boothe, children James R. Ford Jr, Chuck and Cindy Childs, Brian and Amanda Ford. Grandchildren James Ford III, Madalyn Childs, Bryce and Kendall Ford.
“Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” She is home at last with her Lord and Savior.
There will be a grave side service held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum 1, Monday August 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Her beloved husband Reverend James R. Ford of Pemberton Missionary Baptist Church will be leading the ceremony. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior the service.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Calfee Funeral Home, Beckley.
