Nellie Josephine Fondale

Nellie Josephine Fondale, 90, of Mabscott, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Hilltop Center following a long illness. Born March 18, 1919 in Mabscott, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Dominica Gugolotta Fondale. Nellie worked for Q.B. Bakery, Sunbeam Bakery and Quality Bakery before retiring from the Drive In Bakery. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church and a former member of the church choir. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by brothers; Tony, Sam, Joe and John Fondale and by her sister, Mary Interdonato. She is survived by a brother, Phillip Fondale, Jr. and his wife Shirley of Beckley, sister, Ann Cody of Rock Hill, SC and by several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy will be recited at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church with Monsignor Samuel S. Sacus the celebrant. A rite of committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to service on Monday. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
