Nancy Jean Pierson Farr, 76 of Harper WV, entered her forever home on August 2, 2023. She was reunited with her beloved parents Raymond August Pierson and Thelma Coldiron Pierson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; JoAnn Gardner, two brothers; Calvin A. and James Ray Pierson; adored in laws; Marvin and Delma Farr, two brothers-in-law; William Farr and Gene Gardner; and a mother by heart; Grace Loving.

Left to honor and cherish her memory is her devoted husband and soul mate of 56 years, David S. Farr, three daughters; Amy Farr and partner Shawn Kennedy, Sarah Stover and husband Kevin, Rachel Goodwin and husband Calvin (Deke), and son; David Matthew Farr and wife Leslie. She was immensely blessed with 12 adoring grandchildren who lit up her world; Lydia Cox and husband Kevin, Logan Goodwin and partner Angel Boone, Cole Honaker, Pierson Altice, Greyson Goodwin, Raelee Goodwin, McKinley Altice, Avery Farr and Addison Farr, and bonus grandchildren; Samantha Wood and husband Nate, Tony Stover and wife Mary, and Austin Stover. The pride of her legacy are 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way; Kayleigh and Landon Meadows, Everleigh Goodwin, bonus great grandchildren; Ryan and Jase Wood and Serenity Adkins, and her name's sake; Davey-Jean Cox, a special niece; Anita Farrell, a sister-in-law; Donna Farr, two nephews; Tim and Jim Farr, and many wonderful cousins, family and dear friends.

              “Her children bless her; her husband praises her, many women act competently,

                     but you dear mother have surpassed them all.”

She gave selflessly to the greatest extent possible to her family as loving and devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She also loved her fur babies with passion, tenderness, and faithfulness. To honor her memory the family asks that family and friends make a love donation to her favorite charities; St. Jude's and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

To honor her final wishes, the family will have a private celebration of her life in the days to come.

“We shall meet our beloved again. We grieve, but it is not without hope we will be together again.”
