Nancy Sue (Church) Duff, age 72 of Beckley, WV went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, August 23, 2024. Nancy passed peacefully with family by her side after a short battle with cancer at Bowers Hospice House.

Nancy was born December 23, 1951 to Eugene “Dood” and Sylvia Church in Iaeger, WV. After graduating from Iaeger High School in 1970, she married the love of her life, Carlos Duff. They began their life together in Ashtabula, Ohio. Their lives together would take them to Kentucky, Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia and finally back home to their roots in West Virginia.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Church and her husband, Carlos Duff.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving mother, Sylvia Church and siblings, Virginia “Ginny” Topping and Frank Holcomb of Beckley, WV, Eugene Church and Debra of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Michael Church and Rayetta of Roanoke, Virginia, Debra “Debbie” Church of Roanoke, Virginia, Donald “Donnie” Church and Grace of Claypool Hill, Virginia; Connie Wimmer and Terry of Pilgrims Knob, Virginia; son Westley Duff and her loving companion, Ray Masters of Beckley, WV.

Nancy cherished and loved each of her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as her own children.

Nancy enjoyed working as a medical receptionist for several years. Throughout her life, Nancy enjoyed music of all types. She loved to dance and sing and was always the life of the party. She had a passion for the beach and collecting lighthouses. Her unwavering love and spirit for life and family will forever be remembered as a beacon of light for others.

The family would like to thank her Crab Orchard Baptist Church family (of which she was a member), her bonus sister “Baby” Karan Rahall, Cyndi Massey, Raleigh General Hospital, and Bowers Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to the Crab Orchard Baptist Church N.O.W building fund.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2024 at Crab Orchard Baptist Church. Services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Crab Orchard Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton, WV.
