Nancy Carol Settle

Nancy Carol Settle, 80, of Harper, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born November 21, 1933 at Kincaid, WV, she was the daughter of the late Archie E. and Oleeda Pearl Adkins Johnson. Nancy was an assistant librarian for the Mullens Area Public Library and a 50 year resident of Mullens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis “Boney” Settle.
She is survived by her son Curtis Settle and wife Brenda of Pataskala, OH; daughter, Carol Shumate and husband William of Harper, WV; grandchildren, Janetta Jones and husband Aaron of Columbus, OH, Samantha Wagoner-Watts and husband Maxwell of Columbus, OH, Zachary and Nathaniel Shumate of Harper, WV; brother, James Johnson of OH; sisters, Loretta Wagner of Scott Depot, WV, Judy Kincaid of St. Albans, WV, June Eldreth of Mullens, WV and sister-in-law and friend, Frances Settle of Fayetteville, WV
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Pollock officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Zach Shumate, Nate Shumate, Steve Settle, James Harrison, Maxwell Wagoner-Watts and Aaron Jones.
