Myrtle E. Dalton of Beckley, WV went to be with the Lord after a long illness on August 20, 2015.
She was born on November 7, 1922 to Phillip Grant and Gertrude Falin Fleming. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E Dalton; sisters, Mildred Grimmett, Bea Hallman, Ann Hargett, Vivian Pachuta Brown and Mary Holdren; half brothers Grady and Brady Fleming and nephew Charles Edward Garrett.
A graduate of Trap Hill High School, Myrtle attended Beckley College and was a member of the National Honor Society and Debate Club. She was a former employee Vecellio & Grogan, Acme Construction, and Eastern Gas and Fuel.
She married James E Dalton in October 1940. Myrtle was a member of Cross Point Church of God where she served in many capacities, Sunday School Superintendant, Church Council, Adult Teacher, Vice President of Women of Church of God, Christian Women’s Club and Shut In committee.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Fleming Holden of Tarboro, NC; nephew, Pat Garrett and wife Debbie and their children, Cody and Carly of Shady Spring and nephew Phillip Mike Pachuta of Beckley.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vondie Cook, II officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Cross Point Church of God Building Fund, 110 Crescent Rd., Beckley, WV 25801.
