Mildred Prince Rogar

August 30, 1925 — April 24, 2016

Mildred Prince Rogar, 90 of Beckley, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. Born August 30, 1925 in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James Clarkson and Hilda Brook Tolbert Prince.
Mildred was a retired teacher for Sylvia Elementary School. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Alpha Fidelis Teacher Sorority from 1985 to 2002 where she served as vice president in 1990.
In addition to her parents Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, John Rogar; brothers, James Andrew Prince, Tommy Tolbert Prince and her sister, Margaret Rose Prince Shanks.
She is survived by her son, Gary Rogar of Beckley; granddaughter, Asley Rogar Orr and husband Lee and great-granddaughter, Avery Brook Orr of Charleston, WV; granddaughter, Andria Rogar Condon and husband Eric and great-grandson, Noah of Charleston, WV.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Snyder officiating. A private family committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, P.O. Box 5556, Beckley, WV 25801.
