Mildred Griffith

Mildred “Millie” Griffith, 71, of Beckley, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at Bowers Hospice House. Born June 13, 1940 in Glen Rogers, WV, she was the daughter of the late Edgil and Carrie Thomas Massey. Millie was a homemaker and a member of the Crab Orchard Tabernacle. She loved to quilt and was a lifetime resident of Raleigh County.. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Griffith; brothers, Rufus, Charles, Oba and Sam Massey; sister, Elda Rollins.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Sue Lilly of Shady Spring; son, Buddy Ray Rollins of Spotsylvania, VA; brothers, David Massey of TX; sisters, Carol Griffin of FL, Nancy Bear and Betty Clyburn of Fayetteville, WV; 6 grandchildren, Alex, Joseph, Jacob, Joshua, Roger and Ethan and great-granddaughter, Zoe Jane

Private family graveside rites and burial will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2011 in the Davis Cemetery art Mt. Tabor with Pastor Vondie L. Cook, Sr. officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Dr., Beckley, WV 25801
