Merle Taylor Diatz, 78, of Rockville, MD, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Born June 24, 1934 in Sophia, WV, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Etta Ethel Beasley Taylor.
Merle was a retired secretary for NIH.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Diatz (Debbie) of Gaithersburg, MD; sister, Okalene Grisier (D’Arcy) of St. George, UT; grandchildren, Mitchell Diatz, Jennifer Diatz Chucoski, Stacy Diatz Smith; great-grandson, Max Alexander Smith.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, with D’Arcy Grisier officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations of sympathy be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1400 16th Street NW , Suite 410, Washington, DC 20036
