Maxine Ellison, 90, of Mabscott, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019. Born July 6, 1928 in Lillybrook, WV , she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lye and Dora Medows Ellison.
Maxine was a former administrative assistant. She was a graduate of Stoco High. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church where she volunteered and was the official bell ringer of the bell dedicated to her. Maxine loved animals.
She is survived by her brother, Glenn D. Ellison of Christiansburg, VA; niece, Laura Studebaker (Kelly) of Myrtle Beach, SC; nephew Michael Ellison of Richmond, VA; cousin, Richard Shumate of Roanoke.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
