Mary R. Sisk, 73, went to her heavenly home on April 8, 2018. She was born on November 23, 1944 in Crab Orchard. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in life and gave her family peace. Mary loved to laugh, sing and walk in her yard to admire the flowers she and Wayne worked so hard to make beautiful.
Mary was blessed with a large, loving family. She was preceded in death by parents, Rev. William Cecil and Norma Combs; grandson Austin Sisk, great-grandson Gabriel Poland; siblings: Sharon Combs, John Combs, Mark Combs and Jim Combs; sisters-in-law: Charlotte Combs, Lisa Combs Martin and brothers-in-law Don Basham and Kenny Bibb.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Wayne Sisk, Jr.; son Michael Shane Sisk and son Jeff Sisk, wife Sherri; granddaughter Ashley Poland, husband Dan; grandson Micah Sisk and great-grandsons, Daniel Poland and Grayson Avancini. Her surviving sisters are: Nancy and Ed Cook; Betty Basham; Norma Bibb; and Judy and Jim Puckett and sisters-in-law Shirley Combs and Jill Sisk . Her surviving brothers are: Billy and Jackie Combs; Bob Combs; David Combs; Donnie Combs; Greg and Vicki Combs; and Scott and Carla Combs. She also has a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Cook and Rev. Jim Puckett officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
