Mary Ethelyn Wills Peterson

Mary Ethelyn Wills Peterson, 91, of Hanover, MD, formerly of Ghent, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013.
Born January 24, 1922 in Beaver, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Johnson and Lottie Cooper Wills. Mary was a retired secretary for the WV State Department. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beckley and Eastern Star Bethlehem Chapter #71. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell M. Peterson.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Peterson Hale and husband Michael Wayne Hale of Hanover, MD; son, Russell Malcolm Peterson, II and wife April Johnson Peterson of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, Matthew Thomas Hale, Bethany Grace Hale, Rachel Elizabeth Peterson, Joshua Johnson Peterson, Nicholas Alexander Peterson; sister, Anna Fowler of Bedford, VA and a brother, Herbert Wills of Beaver, WV.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Stoddard officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home where Bethlehem Chapter #71 will hold an Eastern Star service at 12:00 p.m..
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
