Mary Alice Rahall

Mary Alice Rahall, 78, of Daniels, WV, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011 in a Boonsboro, MD nursing center following a short illness. Born on August 4, 1932 in Summerlee, WV, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Myrtle Leoma Morton Cafego. Mary was a retired bookkeeper, a member of St. Frances deSales Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters, and was past president of the Beckley Women’s Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Rahall who passed away in July 2010.
Survivors include two sons, John Rahall and wife Kathy of Princeton, WV, David Rahall and wife Barbara of Charlotte, NC; one daughter, Gwen Skrabak of Hagerstown, MD; one sister, Nevada Walter of Phoenix, AZ, one brother, Joe Cafego of Tampa, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 8, 2011, at St. Frances deSales Catholic Church, with Rev. John DuHaime officiating. A rite of committal will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum B. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Calfee Funeral Home, 800 South Oakwood Avenue, Beckley, WV, where a prayer service will be held at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Mr. Don Wise officiating.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Heath Skrabak, Jonathan Skrabak, Nathan Skrabak, Brian Rahall, Kristopher Rahall, and Sean Rahall.
