Margaret Kathleen McGaha

Margaret Kathleen “Kathy” McGaha of Beckley, WV passed away on December 29, 2022 at the age of 76.

She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 29 years, Donald McGaha; her sisters, Sheila McClung Acord and Jeanette McClung Alexander; her father, Maxwell McClung and mother, Margaret “Peggy” McClung.

Kathy was a faithful volunteer in the community. She volunteered her time weekly at the Raleigh County Veterans Hospital. She was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Kathy was very passionate about animals and volunteered for the Raleigh County Animal Rescue.

Indeed, one of Kathy’s most enduring qualities was her intense passion for animals. She proudly called herself “the crazy cat lady”. Rescuing, nursing, sheltering and feeding countless cats, dogs and ferrets throughout the years. Her enthusiasm, devotion and compassion towards her pets was second to none and brought her great joy!

Furthermore, Kathy was a devoted follower of her Jewish faith. She was an active member of the Temple Beth El here in Beckley. The camaraderie of the temple and her faith was an essential part of her life that brought her peace, joy and fulfillment.

Above all else, Kathy was a beloved family member. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend to countless. Her contributions and sacrifices will always be cherished and appreciated. Her spunky personality and witty sense of humor will be tremendously missed by those who knew and loved her.
