Margaret Ann Mills McPherson

Margaret “Ann” Mills McPherson, 71, of Beckley, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 following a long illness. Born December 10, 1941 at Soak Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Lonzo and Mozetta Richardson Mills.
Ann was a former beautician and also a realtor for Century 21-First Choice. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley and also attended Freedom Ministries in Beaver. She was a lifelong resident of Beckley. Ann’s greatest joy, interest and hobby were her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray McPherson and a brother, Jack Mills.

She is survived by daughters, Kim Jesse and husband David and Michelle Lester of Beckley; son, Shane McPherson and wife Chandra of Beckley; grandchildren, Derrick Tyree, Justin (J.K.) Tyree, Zane Lester and Aiden McPherson all of Beckley, Brandon Jesse and Ryan Jesse of Glen White; great-grandchildren, Lilli Tyree, Levi Jesse, Jordan Jesse and Dawson Jesse; brothers, David Mills of Soak Creek and Jimmy Mills and wife Genevieve of Port St. Lucie, FL; niece, Renee Criner of Charleston, WV; and nephews, Ken Mills of Charleston, WV, Dean Mills of Soak Creek and C.J. Mills of Bensalem, PA.
Per the wishes of Ann, she was laid to rest beside of her beloved husband, Bobby Ray McPherson in a private ceremony at Sunset Memorial park on Tuesday, January 15 attended only by her children and grandchildren. In addition Ann requested there will be no public viewing, however, there will be a public celebration service of her life on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Freedom Ministries located in Beaver at 806 Grandview Rd. with pastor Philip Farrington officiating.
