Lychia Ruth Jenkins

Lychia Ruth Jenkins, 83, passed away Friday, February 21st,2025 at CAMC Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, WV after a long illness. She was born June 9th, 1941 in Mt. Hope, WV to the late James A. and Hazel J. Clay. She was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Hope High School. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Gary A. Jenkins just 5 days earlier. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Carl Clay, Ernest Clay, Charles Clay, and James P. Clay, as well as one great granddaughter. Survivors include two sons, James Humphrey Jr. and wife Theresa of Moreno Valley California and Stephen Humphrey and wife Rachel of Mt. Hope WV, three sisters, Anna Jean Payne of Charlottesville Virginia, Marion Qualls of Huntington WV, and Jewell Bunn of Fruitland Park Florida, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Lucy Fitzwater. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 7th, 2025at the Russell Family Cemetary in Fenwick, WV withPastor Larry Gawthrop officiating.
