Lula Mae Cernuto, 82, of Beckley, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 23, 1938 in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosie Farmer Garris. Lula was a homemaker. She attended the Church of God. She loved providing for her family, working crossword puzzles, sewing and she was an avid birdwatcher.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray; brothers, James, Richard, Elmer and Garland Garris and sister, Barbara Bowles.
Lula is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles N. Cernuto; daughters Kathy Cernuto-Hall (Rick) and Donna Lambert (Tracey); son, David Cernuto (Kimberly); grandchildren, Chad, Ricky, Austin, Rachelle, Brittany, Emily, Tre and Nicholas and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Lawrence, Lonnie, Lee, Raymond and Larry Garris.
Services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Harper and Pastor Damon Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Cernuto Family Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
