Lucy Mae Burnette, 35, of Glen Morgan, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 9, 2009 following a short illness. Born July 8, 1973, she was the daughter of Danny Burnette of New Richmond, WV, and Joanne Howerton of Glen Morgan, WV. She was employed at Jay Enterprises.
Survivors besides her parents, include her fianc Shane Ritter; sisters, Mary Redden and friend Donald Hinkle of Oak Hill, Ollie McKinney of Glen Morgan, Ruth Callaway of Glen Morgan; brothers, Daniel McKinney and girlfriend Jaime Ratliff of Glen Morgan, Jeff Howerton and friend Dawn Bolen of Glen Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her dog Kiszer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2009 in the Tilden Community Baptist Church, Glen Morgan, with Pastor Charlie Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in Coal City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon to time of service on Monday. Pallbearers will be Austin Redden, Gordon Redden, Ronnie McKinney, Jeff Howerton and Little Daniel McKinney.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to Tilden Community Church or the family to help with expenses.
