Lindsey Kathryn Acord Meador, 34, of Beckley went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2019 following a long illness.
Lindsey was a loving, fun mother and outdoor enthusiast. She especially liked taking her children camping, fishing at the river, and delighted in sitting by the camp fire. She was a “free spirit” who took in all strays … wild raccoons, birds, dogs, cats and anything that needed care and attention.
Lindsey loved the Lord and enjoyed listening to music. Her favorite hymn, Jesus Loves Me, endured from her childhood.
Lindsey was a graduate of Independence High School. She was a stay-at-home mom.
Lindsey was preceded in death by a son, Cole Justice Meador, her husband Christopher Ray Meador, her maternal grandparents, Gene and Glenna Mace, and her paternal grandmother, Etter Acord.
Lindsey is survived by her four children, Christopher Logan, Kaylei Lynne, Kade Eden and Jessie Clay Meador all of Beckley. She is also survived by her mother, Kathryn Mace and her brother, Michael Acord, of Beckley. Lindsey is also survived by her father, Michael Fredrick Acord of Daniels. Lindsey is also survived by Judy and David Black of Crab Orchard. She also had a very special friend, Shane Ritter of Beaver.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Calfee Funeral Home, Beckley, West Virginia at 2:00 p.m. The service will be conducted by Rev. Charles “Butch” Acord. Friends are welcome to call at 1:00 to celebrate her life.
